Sunday’s recipe drop: Winter Citrus & Rosemary Sparkler

Meet your new cold-weather companion: the Winter Citrus & Rosemary Sparkler. It’s bright enough to lift the winter gloom, cozy enough for a fireside night in, and classy enough for any gathering where you want to look like you’ve got your life together. With warm rosemary, sweet winter citrus, and a kiss of lemon, it tastes like the season wrapped in a glass — festive, refreshing, and just a little bit fancy.

Bright. Cozy. Festive. It’s basically the mocktail version of a soft, oversized sweater that also happens to match your manicure.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice

  • ½ cup freshly squeezed blood orange or cara cara orange juice

  • 3 tablespoons honey or maple syrup

  • 1 sprig fresh rosemary (plus more for garnish)

  • 1 cup sparkling water or sparkling lemonade

  • ½ cup cranberry juice (unsweetened preferred)

  • Ice

  • Optional: sugared cranberries or a rosemary sugar rim

Instructions:

  1. In a small saucepan, warm the lemon juice, orange juice, honey, and rosemary over low heat — don’t boil, just steep. Heat for 3–4 minutes until fragrant.

  2. Remove rosemary and chill the mixture until cold.

  3. Fill a glass with ice, pour in the citrus mixture, and add cranberry juice.

  4. Top with sparkling water to finish.

  5. Garnish with a rosemary sprig, orange slice, or sugared cranberries for extra winter magic.
